Day 1.
Meeting at Tbilisi International Airport and transfer to the hotel. After a short rest –

Sightseeing tour of the historical part of Tbilisi

Tbilisi

Metekhi Plateau is a historic district of Tbilisi, located on a cliff above the Mtkvari (Kura) River.
The “Mother of Georgians” monument has become one of Tbilisi’s symbols.
Narikala Fortress is the most famous and ancient monument of Tbilisi’s antiquity, as the fortress’s construction is believed to date back to the fourth century.
Tbilisi Mosque, also known as Juma Mosque, is built at the foot of Narikala Fortress.
Abanotubani (Bath Quarter) is a historic district in the center of Tbilisi, famous for its bathhouse complex built on natural sulfur springs.
Meidan is one of the most popular sites in Tbilisi.
Sioni Cathedral is historically the main church in Tbilisi.
Anchiskhati is a 6th-century church and one of the oldest surviving churches in Tbilisi.
The Rezo Gabriadze Tbilisi State Puppet Theater is also located there.
The Bridge of Peace is a pedestrian bridge across the Kura River.
Freedom Square is the main square of Tbilisi and one of the most crowded and popular places in the city.

Day 2.

Excursion to the Caucasus Mountains, to the Gergeti Trinity Monastery

Zhinvali Dam

The Zhinvali Dam is located in the middle of the Aragvi River. It is one of the most beautiful places in Georgia, attracting many tourists. In addition to generating electricity, the Zhinvali Hydroelectric Power Station plays an important role in supplying water to Tbilisi.

Ananuri Fortress

Ananuri Fortress is a feudal-era fortress (16th-18th centuries). It is located at the head of the Zhinvali Dam. Ananuri Fortress played a significant role in numerous wars and has never been stormed. Today, it is a key tourist destination in Georgia.

Gudauri View Point

The next stop is a panoramic viewpoint at the mountaintop, the Friendship of Nations Arch. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between the Gudauri ski resort and the Jvari Pass, the monument is a large circular structure made of stone and concrete overlooking the Devil’s Valley in the Caucasus Mountains.

Gergeti Trinity Church

We’ll arrive in Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) via the Cross Pass, located at an altitude of 2,379 meters above sea level, and ascend the mountain to the Gergeti Trinity Church. Of all the churches in Europe located in the alpine zone, the Gergeti Trinity Church stands at the highest point – 2,200 meters.

We will return to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 3.

Chronicle of Georgia, Jvari Monastery, Borjomi, Kutaisi

Chronicles of Georgia

The “Chronicles of Georgia” is a monument dedicated to the history of Georgia, located in Tbilisi, near the Tbilisi Sea. Construction of the monument began in the 1980s and was designed by sculptor Zurab Tsereteli.

Jvari Monastery

Jvari Monastery (6th century) is located on a mountaintop at the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi rivers near Mtskheta. The mountain offers stunning views of Mtskheta and the confluence of the Kura and Aragvi rivers.

Borjomi, a resort town

Borjomi is a resort town in central Georgia, located in the Borjomi Gorge. The town is famous for its Borjomi mineral water, Georgia’s number one export. Borjomi Central Park is a green paradise in this resort town. In the park, you can drink the famous Borjomi mineral water, renowned for its healing properties and unique taste, straight from the spring. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is one of the largest national parks in Europe.

Kutaisi

Kutaisi is Georgia’s third-largest city by population, traditionally second only to the capital, Tbilisi. Kutaisi was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Colchis. It is believed that in the Argonautica, the Greek epic poem about Jason and the Argonauts and their voyage to Colchis, the author, Apollonius of Rhodes, considered Kutaisi to be his final destination.

Day 4.

Bagrati Cathedral, Prometheus Cave, Martvili Canyon

Bagrat Cathedral

The Bagrat Cathedral was built in Kutaisi during the reign of Bagrat III as the main cathedral of the united Georgian Kingdom and consecrated in honor of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in 1003. Majestic in size and proportions, the cathedral marked a fundamentally new era in the history of Transcaucasian architecture, was lavishly decorated with carvings and mosaics, and played a crucial role in the medieval history of Georgia.

Prometheus Cave

Prometheus Cave is a karst cave adorned with stunning bands of stalactites and stalagmites. It is approximately 60-70 million years old. Only 22 chambers have been discovered within the cave, six of which are open to tourists. The total length of the cave is approximately 11 km, although a 1,420-meter hiking trail is available for visitors.

Martvili Canyon

Martvili Canyon is located in the Martvili Municipality. The 700-meter-long, stone-paved circular trail starts from the Martvili Canyon Visitor Center and crosses the historic Dadiani Trail. There are two bridges, three observation platforms, and a historic 30-step staircase constructed from large limestone boulders. Visitors can enjoy a 300-meter boat ride along the Abasha River and stunning views of the mountain river canyon.

In the evening we will return to Kutaisi.

Day 5.

Uplistsikhe, Mtskheta and Svetitskhoveli

Uplistsikhe

Uplistsikhe is one of the rarest monuments in the world, an ancient cave city and one of the first cities in Georgia. The city arose in the late 2nd and early 1st millennia BC. At its peak, Uplistsikhe included over 700 caves and cave structures, of which only 150 remain today.

Mtskheta – this area was inhabited as early as the Bronze Age. In the early 4th century, a missionary from Jerusalem, Nino, preached Christianity in Mtskheta. It is said that Saint Nino’s prayer caused a storm and hailstorm, destroying the idols of Armazi. King Mirian III embraced the new religion, and Christianity became the state religion. The historical monuments of Mtskheta are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Svetitskhoveli

Svetitskhoveli is the patriarchal cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church in honor of the Twelve Apostles, built in 1010-1029, on the site of Georgia’s first Christian church, erected over the grave of St. Sidonia, buried with the chiton of Jesus Christ taken from Jerusalem.

We will return to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 6.

Kakheti – Bodbe Monastery, Sighnaghi

KTW wine factory

Almost three-quarters of the country’s grapes are grown in Kakheti. You’ll visit the KTW – “Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking” winery, where you’ll taste several varieties of wine and, if you wish, purchase a few bottles.

Tone

On the way to Sighnaghi, we will stop in the village of Badiauri, where we will see how Kakhetian “Mom’s bread” is baked in a Tone and taste local cheese.

Bodbe monastery

Bodbe Monastery is a convent of the Bodbe Diocese of the Georgian Orthodox Church. The Georgian Orthodox monastery complex, originally built in the 9th century, was extensively rebuilt in the 17th century. Currently, the monastery functions as a convent and is one of the main pilgrimage sites in Georgia due to its connection with Saint Nino, a 4th-century Georgian evangelist, whose relics are kept here.

Sighnaghi. 7-Day Tour of Georgia

Sighnaghi – the City of Love, is located on terraces connected by winding steep streets. Despite being one of the smallest towns in Georgia, Sighnaghi is a popular tourist destination due to its location in the heart of Georgia’s wine regions, as well as picturesque scenery, pastel-colored houses and narrow cobbled streets. Situated on a steep hill, Sighnaghi towers over the vast Alazani Valley, and the Caucasus Mountains can be seen in the distance.

We will return to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 7.
